Bellator Light Heavyweight Tournament Quarterfinals
Light Heavyweight (205 lbs)
Tim Carpenter (7 – 0 – 0) won a split decision over Daniel Gracie (5 – 3 – 0). Carpenter drops 2 spots from #114 to #116, since he only won a split decision over a much lower ranked fighter. Carpenter will face Christian M’Pumbu in the semi finals of the tournament. Daniel Gracie drops 7 spots from #192 to #199. Who knows what the next move for the relatively inactive Gracie will be.
Light Heavyweight (205 lbs)
Christian M’Pumbu (16 – 3 – 1) defeated Chris Davis (10 – 3 – 0) by TKO due to punches at 3:34 into round 3. M’Pumbu jumps 7 spots forward from #56 to #49. M’Pumbu, who has now won 5 of his last 6 fights, will face Tim Carpenter in the semi finals. Chris Davis plummets 44 spots from #89 to #133. Davis was winning the fight early, but faded late and paid for it. This breaks a 3 fight win streak for Davis.
Light Heavyweight (205 lbs)
D. J. Linderman (9 – 1 – 0) made a successful drop to 205 from heavyweight and defeated Raphael Davis (10 – 2 – 0) by TKO due to punches at 3:40 into round 3. Linderman, who was previously ranked at #60HW moves down to #29LHW. D.J. Linderman has considerable momentum going into the semi finals against Richard Hale after stopping Raphael Davis, the man many people felt would win the tournament. Linderman is on a 4 fight win streak. Raphael Davis falls 15 spots from #29 to #44. This is a tough loss for Davis, who has never been stopped and who was on a 9 fight win streak previous to this fight.
Light Heavyweight (205 lbs)
Richard Hale (16 – 3 – 0) scored a stunning inverted triangle choke submission win over Nik Fekete (4 – 1 – 0) 1:55 into the 1st round. Hale moves up 3 spots from #54 to #51. Hale was very impressive with his rare submission, but he has a tough fight ahead of him when he faces D.J. Linderman in the semi finals. Hale is on a 3 fight win streak, and had won 5 of his last 6. Nik Fekete falls 36 spots from #128 to #164. Fekete, who has served as a wrestling training partner to many known fighters, will have to deal with being on the receiving end of a flashy, highlight reel type submission.
Other Bouts

Cody Donovan (6 – 1 – 0) defeated Brian Albin (7 – 5 – 0) by unanimous decision. Donovan moves up 26 spots from #202 to #176. Donovan is on a 3 fight win streak, not counting a no contest with Cortez Coleman. Brian Albin remains unranked.
Lightweight (155 lbs)
