Let’s take a deep dive into the new life of former YouTuber and current professional boxer, Jake Paul. To be a fair fight and more interesting to watch, it is necessary for Paul to actually compete with fighters in his same weight class, with the same level of experience, and similar in age as he is. Then, let’s see how good he is going to do?!
I am intrigued to see this guy fight somebody who is competitive with him. Instead, it appears spectators have consistently viewed him annihilate Mixed Martial Artists. An example of a good match-up for a bout with Jake Paul is Francis Ngannou.
Francis would have been a better option than Paul’s previous opponents. This would still not be a fair fight, due to Ngannou being a heavyweight boxer and Paul being a cruiserweight boxer. However, if he had a bout with Francis Ngannou, I would have to put my money on Francis. Even though I do not gamble, Jake would likely be seeing stars. My prediction with that hypothetical fight is that Francis Ngannou would win by knocking out Jake Paul.
The funny thing is that Jake Paul, actually did fight a professional boxer in the same weight class as he is. That fighter was Tommy Fury, who I might add, is not the greatest boxer around. This particular fight was won by a split decision in Fury’s favor.
Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul’s bout will be streamed on Netflix on November 15, 2024. In general, I feel bad for Mike Tyson! He was a bad ass boxer in his prime. Personally, if I were Tyson, I would just remain a legend and that’s it. He doesn’t need to embarrass himself boxing a man half his age and be obliterated. My advice would be to screw the money and not fight Jake Paul. In the end, that’s what it is all about is the money.
A nice payout is obviously a logical reason to agree to participate in an event. This was the number one reason that Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury fought. It was a money maker! There is more money to make the higher you level up in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and even more for high-level boxing bouts.
I foresee the combat sports industry exploding within the next decade. MMA, in addition to boxing, will likely make a larger impact worldwide. There is a great deal of untapped talent hiding throughout Latin America and other regions around the globe. The United Arab Emirates have made a significant impact as to where MMA is currently heading. They always have placed a great detail of focus on grappling competitions, such as Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC). Whereas, the Saudis have invested a significant amount of funds into the sports and entertainment industries all together. This significantly helps grow boxing and MMA world-wide.
Although, the Saudi Arabian people appear to attend the events at Kingdom Arena, they are distracted and viewed as enjoying their mobile devices more than the events. Individuals appear less interested in actually watching a card than other spectators globally. This I can say by viewing events from other venues. Clearly, it is true that as a global society, we are all addicted to our phones.

I have been a fan and avid viewer of all combat sports for decades. I was once a Judoka, which is what eventually piqued my interest in Mixed Martial Arts. I have been a spectator of the UFC since 2001. For 25 years I’ve worked in healthcare, and now am trying to make something that was a hobby, into a full-time endeavor.
