UFC 282 is just around the corner as it takes place on Saturday 10th December with the rematch of Jiri Prochazka against Glover Teixeira headlining the card.
The two met at UFC 275 in June where Prochazka won via submission in the fifth round of the light heavyweight contest to become the first-ever Czech champion in the UFC.
The fight was dubbed one of the most exciting of its division in the UFC’s entire history and so the rematch is highly anticipated. The Czech fighter will be disappointed if he does not end the fight in an earlier round this time around and comfortably defend his title. Meanwhile, Teixeira will be looking to produce a shock result to claim his title back from the same competitor he lost it to.

The fight against his Czech opponent could be the last of Teixeira’s career, the 43-year-old could potentially bring his career to a close if he does not regain his title in Las Vegas in December.
Teixeira very much controlled the fight at UFC 275 before Prochazka showcased his ability on the ground and how he can shock his opponent in an instant.
The Brazilian’s best chance is to last the entire fight and attempt to win via a points decision but the Czech will certainly inflict huge pressure and force on him to prevent that and will be the overwhelming favorite. Elsewhere on the card, another bout in the light heavyweight division will take place between Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev.
Blachowicz held the title last October before losing it to Teixeira with the division being one of the most competitive in the UFC in the last couple of years with the title holder constantly changing.

The Polish fighter won his last fight in May against Aleksandar Rakic via technical knockout after the Austrian suffered a knee injury he could not continue with.
Blachowicz is looking to slowly earn himself an attempt at regaining his previous title while Ankalaev will be seeking victory with the hopes of being awarded an initial title shot.
Ankalaev is yet another exciting fighter hailing from Dagestan after Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev who recently beat Charles Oliveira at UFC 280 with a triangle arm choke to become the champion of the world.
The numerous Dagestani fighters are quickly building a reputation as being some of the fiercest fighters in the UFC and Ankalaev will be desperate to contribute to this legacy with a title shot surely just a few victories away.
The night promises to be a huge opportunity for the light heavyweight fighters to show their talents; titles will be decided by some with others working towards the opportunity to become a champion. The last main event of the year promises to be a spectacular one.
